Daily bioprocessing comes with its own unique set of challenges – optimizing runs, troubleshooting unexpected errors, and fine-tuning parameters. While most of these hurdles are solved behind closed doors in your own lab, true breakthroughs often happen when we collaborate.

On 3. November, Resea Biotec GmbH is hosting a Bioprocess Symposium at Punkt.Null in Bern, with Hamilton Process Analytics as collaborating partner. It is a day of real applications: lab-scale bioreactors and the sensors that read them, presentations with insights from process experts, and hands-on time at the controllers, reactors and sensors. All of this is topped off with plenty of time for networking and the chance to share your day-to-day challenges.

One space – shared expertise

One day in Bern. Lab-scale bioreactors, process analytics, hands-on sessions — plus customer talks and time to exchange with fellow bioprocess users. Come for the systems, stay for the conversations.

  • Bioreactors and sensors

    Several systems are set up for the day. Glass vessels and single-use reactors, different controllers, and sensors reading process parameters. During the day we will try to find answers to your daily struggles. Three questions we come across every day: what changes in handling from glass to single-use, what measuring is necessary for the perfect process, and how to change from batch to fed-batch to perfusion.

  • Customer presentations

    The talks come from customers — topics straight from their daily work. A sensor comparison, the switch from glass to single-use, a scale-up that put up a fight, or whatever else the lab throws at you. They share how they approached it and what they learned. That’s the point of the day: we all learn from each other.

  • Hands-on session

    Drifting ph value? A fed-batch profile that is not working as intended? A glass-to-single-use decision ahead? Bring it up in Bern. And if you’d rather just try the latest systems — we’ll have plenty on site.

  • Exchange among users

    A space with many users and experts. Everyone here runs bioprocesses in their own variation, yet they have so much in common. Lunch and apéro give you time to really talk. Most people leave with something they never came for.
